Jose Mourinho feels that foreign managers ;had to do something serious; to earn Premier League management jobs in the past, but it is now ;too easy; for them.
Portuguese Mourinho – whose side travel to Leicester City on Monday night – was speaking after Garry Monk was sacked by Swansea City, leaving Gus Poyet as the front-runner to takeover at the Liberty Stadium.
There are now only seven British manager in the top flight of England.
“I think you should be concerned,” said Mourinho. “You know, the Premier League was (go to fifa 16 coins) quite a closed space for foreign managers and to come here was not easy. To come here, you had to do something serious.
“When I first came here [after winning (buy cheap fifa coins) the 2004 Champions League with Porto] I think I did enough to deserve to be here. You come to the country No 1 in European football, and you feel that you have to deserve to be here.
“I think in this moment it’s too easy. I think the number of (buy cheap fifa coins) foreign coaches in the Premier League, even in the Championship – and maybe League One, I don’t know – it’s too big compared with the number of English, or in this case British managers.”
Mourinho’s comments come with fresh reports the FA will seek to appoint a foreign manager if Roy Hodgson leaves the post in the summer due to a lack of English candidates.
